We’ve got Mat in a Lamborghini Aventador SV, Tomi in a Porsche 911 GT3 RS and they take on… a VW Beetle! But wait! This is no ordinary Beetle. It’s the Zappa Bug from Electric Classic Cars! And it might just be one of the craziest EVs we’ve ever had on this channel. So let’s look at the stats. Starting with the Lambo, it’s powered by a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 that can make 750hp and 690Nm. This power is sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed gearbox, and the car weighs in at around 1,775kg. When new, the Lambo cost around £238,000. The Porsche is powered by a 4-litre naturally aspirated flat-six that can produce 525bhp and 465Nm. This power is sent to the rear wheels solely via a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and it weighs just 1,450kg. With the Weissach package added, the car costs around £230,000. Finally, we come to the Zappa Bug! It’s shaped like a classic VW Beetle, but is powered by two Tesla motors and produces 800bhp and 930Nm. There’s one motor on each axle, so it’s four-wheel drive. It’s the lightest car on the list, at 1,300kg. In total, the car costs around £75,000. So will it be an easy win for the all-electric Beetle? Or could the Lambo or Porsche snatch it away?
