Neither of us had been to Lake Inarijärvi before, so there was a new, interesting destination in front of us and at the same time our first long-term kayaking trip. Teuvo had not paddled before, apart from a short trial in Vanajavesi in the summer. Anna and Timo, also first-time visitors to Inarijärvi, went along for the canoe trip as confirmation. The week passed in the calm and windy weather of Inarijärvi.
