The first jaeger brigade led by Ruben Lagus advanced from Korpiselä, through Muuanto to Loimola and Koirinoja. From Koirinoja, the jaeger attack continued through Salmi, Rajakonnu and Vitele to Tuulos. An organization break was held in Tuulos and from there in September 1941 the advance continued to Aunus and Syväri. The first Jääkäri Brigade was named Osasto Lagus at Tuulosjoki at the end of July 1941. At that time, Major Sandström was assigned as its chief of staff, lieutenant Leino as adjutant, and captains Paavola, Lehtonen L and Lehtonen U K as commanders of combat units. Ruben Lagus' leadership style was demanding, and under his leadership the jaegers were trained in the continuation war to become Mannerheim's best strike force. In this video, I introduce Lagus from the war sky of the Jaegers from Korpiselä, through the battles of Syväri, Äänislinna, Paatene and Kuuterselä to the war in Lapland. Some of the photos are pictures taken by Sergeant Väinö Jaakonaho with a box camera during the war. There are also photographs from the collections of the War Archives and the National Museum Agency. I have processed some of these black and white photos with image processing programs. #Lagus #Jääkäriprikaati #Jääkärit #Panzerbrigaati #Korpiselkä #Loimola #Koirinoja #salmi #Vitele #Tuulosjoki #Aunus #Syväri #Latva #Petroskoi #Äänislinna #Karhumäki #Poventsa #Seesjärvi #Paatene #karjalankannas #Tali #Ihantala #Vuosalmi #
