La Vereda is a town belonging to the municipality of Campillo de Ranas (Guadalajara, Spain) located in the Ayllón mountain range. Historically it is part of the Council of El Vado, which was made up of the villages of La Vereda, Matallana and the town of El Vado itself. In 1972 the municipality of La Vereda, formerly El Vado, became dependent on the City Council of Campillo de Ranas, when the forced expropriation of most of its territory by the Institute for the Conservation of Nature (ICONA) was carried out, being property of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha since 1983. #magicalvillages #abandonedvillages #blackvillages #guadalajara #blackarchitecture
