Kurt Krömer is a comedian – and for me, the Berlin comedian. He started on the stage of the Berlin Scheinbar in front of three guests. For years he had to act his way up on the breadline. In 2003 Kurt Krömer came to television, had various shows there and things always went uphill. At the end of 2014, however, he ended his television career and concentrated for a long time on his stage program. We met in 2018 in the Hotel Matze. At the time he was just thinking about doing something on television again and trying a kind of comeback – and I would say that this comeback worked so well. In “Chez Krömer” Kurt meets friends and assholes. Bushido, Erika Steinbach and Teddy Teclebrhan are sitting in his interrogation cell. He won the Grimme Prize after the first episode. When I met Kurt in 2018, I didn't really know how to classify him. What was the fictional character Kurt Krömer, what was the real person Alexander Bojcan? It was super nice, but ambiguous. This encounter was completely different. Sitting opposite me was not a fictional character, but the real, the clear and unique Alexander Kurt Krömer Bojcan. We talk about his depression and his coming out as a depressive. Last year there was a sensational “Chez Krömer” episode together with Torsten Sträter.
