Hello, in World War II a new way of conducting offensive operations hit the European theater like a real lightning bolt. It was the Blitzkrieg, and with it from 1939 to 1940 the German armed forces achieved enormous tactical, operational and strategic victories. But by 1943 the Soviet armed forces had already fought against the German armed forces for about two years, so, with all the data gathered about their previous defeats, the officers of the Soviet General Staff went to work, and they developed a new defensive doctrine against the famous Blitzkrieg, a doctrine that was put into practice at Kursk.
