Semi-trailer suitable for use in fields: At Agritechnica 2015, Kröger presented an agricultural semi-trailer. We took it for a test drive loaded with peat. We'll tell you whether the devilish stuff slides down again voluntarily! From profi 07/2016: https://www.profi.de/test/aus-dem-hef... Transcript: Here it comes, the articulated-swing-steered TransMaxx from Kröger agroliner. On its six paws, we took a John Deere 7530 towed to a test drive in a peat mining area. With an empty weight of 10.5 tons, the aluminum trough offers a payload of around 23.5 tons with a 40 km/h approval - which, by the way, can easily be unloaded even with peat waste. The loading height of just under four meters is of course no problem for such an excavator, but you still have to keep the two cross braces in mind when loading. In order not to lose any load on the road, Kröger offers this optional loading area cover. With a little space to swing up to the left and right, the cover is a great thing. But now on to the peat works, where the waste has to slide down again for further processing. This TransMaxx is actually a combination with the separate "Siga Uno" front end from Kröger. The model is also optionally available with a permanently integrated front end. Despite its 9.90 meter trough length, the tipper makes a maneuverable impression - not least due to the turntable and forced steering of the combination. Which brings us to the details. In the configuration we drove, you need two double-acting and one single control unit on the tractor side. This can be used to operate the tailgate, loading area cover and a hydraulic support leg. The five-stage tipping cylinder with a 7.70 m lifting path is fed by a PTO pump. Proper viewing windows and work lights at the front ensure a view into the trough - even in the dark. The fifth wheel plate, which can be manually moved depending on the required support load, comes from Jost. Fittings - for example for the spring-loaded parking brake - are located on the left-hand side of the vehicle in front of the second axle. Speaking of which: optional 620/50 R26.5 wheels are mounted on it. The forced-steering ADR axle and the air suspension package are standard equipment. The sensor on the hydraulic flap lock constantly monitors the position of the cylinder to prevent breakage between the flap and the loading area cover. A special detail is the 1.50 m long swing arm on the tailgate, which also allows higher piles to be created. A few more words about the loading area cover: It has four bearings and is rotated at the front via a shaft. A pinion sits on it, which is moved via a chain and two hydraulic cylinders. But now to the tipping. As soon as the driver in the cab has started the 1000 PTO and triggered the tipping process with the toggle switch, the last axle is lowered. Immediately afterwards, the cylinder stroke can be finely controlled using the accelerator pedal on the tractor - so that it is fully extended in less than 60 seconds. With a tipping angle of 50 degrees - according to the manufacturer - the tough peat slides smoothly out of the trough. The beveled corners are just as beneficial for this as the lack of any tapering on the tailgate. PS the price;-) 73,000 euros for the basic version, price of the version driven 86,780 €. As always, price excluding VAT.
