Part 1 Hot Saturday afternoon of the Year of the Lord 2019, August 31... It is on this day that Križovany nad Dudváhom commemorates a beautiful anniversary - 65 years since the foundation of the Dudváh Folklore Ensemble and 25 years since the foundation of the Dudvážtek Children's Folklore Ensemble. It all started on February 21, 1954. The Krizovian youth of that time founded their folklore ensemble - the DUDVÁH Ensemble of folk songs and dances. For the pleasure not only of yourself but also of your fellow citizens. At the time, no one knew that their followers would continue even 65 years later. The Blažek brothers - Leo and Ervín - had the greatest credit for all of this. Sons of the then school administrator Vincent Blažek, who were brought up and led to preserve the traditions of our ancestors. Unfortunately, the elder Leo did not live to see today's glory, just this year - when he would have been 90 years old - we commemorated the 10th anniversary of his death. But the younger Ervín also attended the celebrations with his wife Antónia, b. Polláková participated. I can imagine their emotion when they watched everything they danced from the point of view... and with them the other founding members of the company who lived to see this glory.
