I have been waiting years for this meeting with this wonderful man and woodturning artist, Costas Deuterios (Annikas). So our meeting the day before yesterday in Sami, Kefalonia fully justified this many years of waiting. Kostas is a special case of wood turner. He may have started woodturning only 15 years ago, but his original talent seems to have been with him for a lifetime! A talent that has made him recognizable both in Greece and abroad. And it was certainly no coincidence that the King of Saudi Arabia included him in his invitation to the wood-turners last year in November. We talked about many things while he turned a piece of olive, which two hours later was transformed into an excellent bowl! I will have the opportunity to meet Kostas again at the open event which will take place on 31/9 and 1/10 in Artemisa, Attica (Loutsa), with the participation of Greek and foreign woodturners.
