The filming of the film was dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Soviet power in Azerbaijan. The film was shot in Baku, in Sheki Khan Palace, Askaran Castle, Shusha, in the pavilion of "Mosfilm". Signs from the natural landscapes of Zagatala, Gakh, Balaken, Kalbajar, and Goy Göl were drawn in connection with the events. It is the first full-length widescreen feature film of Azerbaijani cinema.
