The idea to visit it came to us during the trip. We had a couple of days of vacation left and decided to head to the Fergana Valley. The Tashkent region and the Fergana Valley are connected by a single road through the picturesque Kamchik Pass. The highest point is 2,268 meters above sea level. A 19-kilometer railway tunnel was recently built there. Kokand is the oldest city on the Great Silk Road. Kokand has been known under various names since the 10th century, but it flourished in the 18th century, when the city became the capital of the Kokand Khanate. The provincial city of Kokand is not spoiled by foreign tourists, unlike popular routes. Therefore, prices for accommodation, excursions, and souvenirs are low here. At the same time, it also has an ancient history. And the architecture is different from the architecture of Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva.
