The Roman Catholic parish's advertisements often stated that the church's central bell needed renovation, and a fundraiser was launched to cover the costs. As can be read on the majsaplebania.hu website: "The 350 kg central bell of our church was made by Harangművek Rt. in 1921. Its inscription reads: "Where are you King István! A Hungarian wishes you!" In order to protect the bell in the long term, its tongue must be replaced. The cost of the bell tongue to be purchased from Germany is approx. 500 thousand forints. Since the parish currently does not have the funds available for this, we are announcing a fundraiser. Donations to save the bell can be placed in the labeled box in the middle of the church. The collection will end with the farewell in Majsa. We thank you in advance for your generous donations." There are three bells in the tower of the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Majsa, and parish priest Attila Vincze told us about their history, role and operation.
