A few months ago I drove to the Harz Mountains to chase fog - without success (the clouds were too high). On the way back I cried a lot. Why? Because I was overtired and had to think of two moments that were so indescribably beautiful that I will never forget them: The first trip 12 years ago through the Harz Mountains with its huge mountains, forests and spruce trees. My mouth was open and I couldn't stop being amazed. And a morning on the Hohen Meißner 3 years ago right at the cloud line. It was my first fog hunt with a freshly-learned driver's license and my own car - epic! But on that morning a few months ago all that magic seemed to be lost. It seemed to me as if I was just using and exploiting nature when I drove to the Harz Mountains for an hour and then straight back again. The mountains were bare, the spruce trees were dead and I was dead tired. In moments like that I ask myself whether what I was doing was OK and how I could get the magic back. Answer: Sleep and meditate. :) In the last few days I have experienced a lot of magic in the Harz and I have to say, that means a lot to me! PS: The timelapse was filmed with the DJI Action 3 in video mode with automatic settings, without stabilization and then accelerated 10x.
