The stage greeting for the Netflix drama series "Hibana" (directed by Hiroki Ryuichi), the first film adaptation of a novel by Matayoshi Naoki of the comedy duo "Peace", winner of the 153rd Akutagawa Prize, was held on April 21st at the "8th Okinawa International Movie Festival, Island-wide Big Festival" being held in Okinawa Prefecture, with lead actor Hayashi Kento and others making an appearance. Hayashi, who plays a comedian, was pleased that "I got the role by showing off my ability to speak Kansai dialect," but reflected that "the stand-up routine was difficult." In this production, Hayashi teams up with Yoshii Masao of the comedy duo "Ishimo Yoshii" to perform a stand-up routine. "Hibana" is the story of Tokunaga, an unsuccessful comedian, who suddenly meets Kamiya, a talented senior comedian, and applies to become his apprentice, and they soon begin to meet frequently... Kamiya is played by Namioka Kazuki, and Maki, the woman who lives with Kamiya, is played by Kadowaki Mugi. It will be available on Netflix from June 3rd. There are 10 episodes, each 40-50 minutes long. Namioka, Kadowaki, Toro Salmon's Murata Hideaki, and director Hiroki also appeared on stage to greet the audience. The first three episodes were screened on the day.
