The live-action drama "Yu Yu Hakusho" (official abbreviation: Yu Yu Hakusho, available worldwide exclusively on Netflix from December 14th) held the "Decisive Battle Eve Festival: Worldwide Fastest Screening Event" at Ariake Arena in Tokyo on the 13th. During the talk session, Furukawa Kotone revealed that she was surprised by the appearance of Machida Keita, who plays Koenma, with a pacifier. When asked about the memorable moment during filming, Furukawa confessed that Machida's appearance with a pacifier "can't get it out of my head." Machida played a character with a distinctive "pacifier" in his mouth, and she laughed, "I was surprised that there was someone who looked good with a pacifier even when he was this big." Machida was further teased, "The pacifier was heavy, wasn't it? Your chin kept getting more and more jutting out," to which Machida replied, "It was a custom-made pacifier, and they made it just long enough for me to bite it with my teeth, but my chin got jutting out and my jaw got jutting out (laughs)." Looking back on the filming, "Yu Yu Hakusho" is based on the hit manga by Yoshihiro Togashi, which was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 1990 to 1994 and supported the golden age of the magazine. It is an adventure drama depicting the exploits of the main character Yusuke Urameshi and his friends, and the story begins with the shocking death of Yusuke in the first episode. After that, it becomes a fantasy adventure in which unique characters face the difficulties that befall them one after another, spanning the human world, the demon world, and the spirit world. The live-action drama took five years to produce, and was produced by a global one-team in Japan and the United States, just like the live-action drama version of "One Piece". The staff, led by Director Tsukikawa, was joined by Academy Award winner Ryo Sakaguchi as VFX supervisor. With a star-studded cast, this will be the first live-action drama to be presented on an unprecedented scale.
