Recording of a lecture from the Fridays series from 24. 2. 2023 on the topic: History of climate change from the distant past and lessons for today. Paleogeographic changes can be the initiator of long-term climate cycles: where are we currently located within these cycles, does it slow down or accelerate current climate changes? What "little things" influenced the long-term climate development in the Tertiary: are we threatened with similar events? Are there differences between natural and human-induced climate change, or how nature coped with warming in the Tertiary and what are we willing to do. Lecturer: prof. RNDr. Katarína Holcová, CSc. (Institute of Geology and Paleontology, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Charles University).
