At the beginning of summer, with a group of cheerful walking friends, we climbed Mount Kariukhokh (or, as the Ossetian brothers would correct, "Kh'ariu Khoh"), 3,439 meters high. The mountain is not at all pop, but it was hard not to notice it, this beauty rises so monumentally in front of the Alagir Gorge on the way to Tsei. The goal was set, two free weekdays were chosen between commercial trips, a call was made, like-minded people were gathered, and now, under heavy trekking backpacks, we are already walking to the coveted peak of a beautiful Ossetian mountain, examining along the way the ruins of ancient villages, towers, and dozens of some very ancient, unknown high-mountain Alan dugouts. As expected, we did not cope in a day, the backpacks were too heavy and the climbs were steep, and none of us knew the way. We had to spend the night right before the summit and run to it in the morning, lightly. The mountain pleased us with low clouds at the foot, small rock scree and a long rocky ridge crowning the summit. Another mountain-hiking adventure goes not only into the memory bank, but also to the Instagram/YouTube video servers so that you too can at least partially experience it with us. Feel free to write comments and like! I shoot, sometimes edit and post videos for you, those who are still staying at home, but one day, will still decide to take similar and incomparably cooler, more interesting walks! I believe in you! And what mountain would you like to climb before the end of summer?
