[About the Kamigyo-Shimogyo 3D Scanning Project] This project aims to investigate the alley spaces in the Kamigyo-Juraku school district using 3D scanning technology, and to consider and propose how the recorded point cloud data can be utilized. [Project objectives] 1. To identify the characteristics of each alley from the perspective of land ownership and overflow. 2. To support Kyoto City's "restorative urban development" and aim to preserve the charm of the alleys while ensuring their safety from the perspective of disaster prevention. 3. To enhance the appeal of the area by hypothetically attempting to restore Jurakudai from drawings and remains of the moat, and creating and publishing a video that overlays the past and present. [Video summary] Based on the above 3., we hypothetically attempted to restore Jurakudai using a 3D model, and by overlaying this model with measured point cloud data, we aimed to simultaneously visualize the past and present, and to evoke the memories of Jurakudai that lie dormant in the city. By incorporating places where the remains of Jurakudai can be felt, such as the stairs connecting Kagamiishi-cho to Sakae-cho, and synthesizing point cloud data of the modern building located in the moat area, a seamless change of eras is expressed. https://www.d-lab.kit.ac.jp/uncategor... © KYOTO Design Lab, Kyoto Institute of Technology All Rights Reserved. http://www.d-lab.kit.ac.jp/ [To media] Please note that this video is an experimental attempt to consider the use of 3D data, and we do not allow the footage to be loaned to television programs or other programs that feature Jurakudai as a theme.
