Hungary has been a famous wine-producing and barrel-making region since the Middle Ages. Entire villages specialized in making wooden barrels, vessels, tubs and buckets. However, this craft is now on the verge of extinction in Hungary. Barrel-making is no longer taught in any vocational school, and it seems that young people are not interested in cooperage either, because making a barrel is a lot of physical work. Because that way, his beloved profession would not die out. #cooper #barrel #wine
