About :

Bob and René from our subsidiary Rijnaarde Global Trading & Logistics explain in this video the challenges we face when it comes to inland shipping. There is a lot involved in transporting goods from A to B quickly and safely over water. You want to do it more sustainably, not only for the environment but also for your colleagues and relations. Inland shipping is a naturally clean form of transport, but it can always be better. Something we at Rijnaarde are happy to commit to. We do this together with our skippers where possible, because they are our extension on the water. For example, we invest in the greening of the ship engines. We also achieved our first Green Award for mts Spectre. A Green Award is a quality mark for ships that meet high requirements in the field of safety and the environment. We are well on our way to obtaining a Green Award for the other ships in our fleet. For us, sustainability goes beyond looking at our CO2 emissions. It is about having a positive impact on the environment, with a view to future generations. We also like to build sustainable relationships. And we ensure a good and safe working atmosphere for our people so that everyone goes to work with pleasure. That is how we want to take our responsibility.
