Article 118 of the Spanish Constitution establishes that “it is obligatory to comply with the sentences and other final resolutions of Judges and Courts, as well as to provide the collaboration required by them in the course of the process and in the execution of the resolution.” The Organic Law of the Judiciary dedicates articles 273 to 278 to the regulation of jurisdictional cooperation. Thus, article 273 establishes that Judges and Courts will cooperate and assist each other in the exercise of the jurisdictional function. Judicial cooperation will be requested when a diligence must be carried out outside the jurisdiction of the Court or Tribunal that ordered it or it is within the specific jurisdiction of another Court or Tribunal.
