This is a collection of train arrivals, departures and passing scenes at Okitsu Station on the JR Tokaido Main Line, 2024.06.09. On Sunday, June 9, 2024, I went to Kofu-Shizuoka. After taking photos at Kanete Station on the JR Minobu Line, I went to Okitsu Station via the Minobu Line and the Tokaido Main Line. Like Kanete Station, I think Okitsu Station this time is one of the more difficult to read station names. I couldn't read it at first glance (^^;) Okitsu Station is a station name that I often see on destinations, so I've always wondered what kind of station it is. JR Okitsu Station is an above-ground station with one single platform and one island platform. Platforms 1 and 2 are the main lines, and platform 3, the secondary main line, is used by trains that depart and arrive at the station. The main focus of the photo shoot on this day was to record the 211 series, which is being replaced, and the 315 series 3000 series U formation, which began operation in the Shizuoka area on June 1, 2024. I was lucky because when I checked the operation schedule, it seemed to be departing and arriving at Okitsu Station at just the right time. The 315 series 0 series, which is in operation on the Central Line, is cool, but the 3000 series with its two-stage electric coupler is also cool! It was also refreshing to see it coupled with the 313 series 300 series K formation, which is a different type of train. It almost makes me want a model of it too...
