An unforgettable festival in Vradetto of Ioannina On Sunday, September 8, 2024, the picturesque village of Vradetto in Zagorochoria was flooded with sounds, colors and merriment, as its annual traditional festival took place. The day started with excitement, as residents and visitors attended the divine service in the village's holy temple. Afterwards, the village square was transformed into a large dance floor, where everyone joined in the rhythm of traditional music. The orchestra that excited the crowd was made up of the excellent musicians: Giorgos Gouvas and Fotis Papazikos on vocals, Giorgos Tsoumanis on clarinet, Kostas Karapanos on violin, Marios Toumbas on lute and Giorgos Zoumbas on tambourine. Their tunes transported attendees to other eras, while at the same time giving them the opportunity to celebrate the present with dance and song. Visitors from every corner of Greece, as well as travelers who happened to be in the area, became one with the residents of Vratetos, creating an atmosphere of warm hospitality and genuine fun.
