What is time? And how is its structure related to that of space and matter? Prof. Vittorio Lubicz offers a short journey through the time of physics (and the physics of time), from Newton's "absolute time" to Einstein's "elastic time", up to the time of quantum gravity, to discuss not only what we know about time but also what we still don't understand. This lesson is offered as part of the Third Mission activities promoted by the Department of Mathematics and Physics of the University of Roma Tre and touches on topics of classical physics, special relativity, general relativity and quantum gravity.
