The filmmaker also talks about the difficulties he faced when directing the remake of the film Robocop in Hollywood. And he recalls the day he raided the house of musician Gilberto Gil, then Minister of Culture, to confiscate a pirated DVD: “I went there to make fun of him. A Minister of Culture who watches pirated films has to make fun of him”.
