Artist Wilhelm Steuerwaldt painted the work of art in Quedlinburg and manages to make his picture stand out with powerful effect and character. Expert Colmar praises the color scheme and highlights the portrait format of the picture, which is quite unusual for late Romantic paintings. The gilded wooden frame of the work of art is original and also decorated in the style of the era.
