Global warming affects everyone, but in some places in the world it is more visible than elsewhere. Take Kenya, for example. Here, the Maasai are seeing the consequences of climate change in just one generation. The population is increasing, but the area for cattle is becoming too small. Due to increasing periods of drought and heavy rainfall, agriculture is no longer possible in many places in the area. And then there are the wild lions that attack the farmers' meager number of cows and goats. The Simba Scouts were founded to protect shepherds and farmers. A group of about 135 Maasai, who used to hunt lions, are now trying to keep the lions and the farmers' cattle apart in a peaceful way. Jennifer sets out with the Simba Scouts to find the wild lions and sees up close how important their work is. Want to watch the entire episode of Jennifer in Kenya?
