In the first half of this year, companies in the Czech Republic issued bonds for almost 35 billion crowns. The volume of corporate bonds thus approached the value for the whole of last year. But 4 out of 10 such bonds are issued by companies that have not been on the market for even a year. Investors should therefore be cautious and check such issues. According to Jan Řehounk from CFG, there are roughly 15% of sub-limit issues, i.e. those up to one million euros, that promise a return of over 12% per year.
