Maybe he would like to see more of his son from his first marriage, he would like to have a better job, and he would definitely like to improve something in his love life, but he was actually content. But then strange alien portals began to appear all over the Earth. They emitted radiation that was slowly killing humanity. Matej would have viewed this catastrophe with the same horrified helplessness as the rest of humanity, but one such portal happened to appear right in front of him. Everyone around Matěj perished, he woke up in the hospital with an alien piece of technology in his body and the ability to close portals. But strange chrome monsters start jumping out of the portals, whose sole task is to kill Matěj. Matěj Strnad, a storekeeper from Most, escorted by the army of the Czech Republic, must now close the portals and thereby save humanity. Matej calls it a "bizarre ability" that he didn't ask for.
