Jan Hus (1369, Husinec, Bohemia – July 6, 1415, Constance, Baden) – national hero of the Czech people, preacher, thinker, ideologist of the Czech Reformation. He was a priest and for some time rector of the University of Prague. On July 6, 1415, he was burned in Constance along with his works. The execution of Hus caused the Hussite Wars (1419-1434)...
