The shrine building of Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine is the largest and oldest building in Japan built in the Hachiman-zukuri style, and was designated a national treasure in 2016 due to its importance as a symbol of Hachiman faith. The current shrine building was renovated in 1634 (Kan'ei 11) by the third Tokugawa Shogun, Iemitsu.
