Ivan Hlas is one of the most prominent representatives of the already very distinctive so-called "Hanspaul scene", which arose in the 70s and 80s of the last century around the Tyšer inn on Prague's Hanspaulka. And he started his career as a singer alongside other local stars such as YoYo Band or Zlutý pes, with whom he played in the beginning. However, he became most famous for his songs for Jan Hřebejk's 1993 film Jackal Years, but in the 1990s he broke through to the radio airwaves with a number of his other hits such as Karlín and Malagelo. According to him, why do the songs from the movie Years of the Jackal still resonate so much with the audience and that even children want them? And what is his recipe for a hit?
