Deep mulch is the most effective solution for those practicing organic and biological farming on a small area. This method requires less effort in terms of money, time and physical effort, and it also protects the environment. Deep Mulch "The artificial covering of the soil is called mulching, regardless of what the surface is covered with. The main purpose of the various mulching methods is to preserve soil moisture, prevent soil compaction and soil erosion, reduce weeding pressure, balance the extreme daily temperature fluctuations of the soil surface, reduce nutrient leaching, and renew the soil layer. However, the various procedures only partially satisfy the listed goals. In order to be able to evaluate the fulfillment of the listed functions in the case of individual mulching methods, we must keep in mind the composition of the mulch material. The covering can consist of inorganic (plastic film; crushed stone, etc.) and organic materials....” The deep mulch method is actually composting on the soil surface. The result of the method is that we no longer have to dig, water, weed, apply artificial fertilizers, and after a few years we can even dispense with chemical plant protection. https://gyuttmentfestztival.hu/esemeny...
