A story about a critically endangered species of falcon and the effort to prevent its disappearance from the territory of Slovakia. The red-footed falcon was once almost common in our country. More at www.falcoproject.eu and www.dravce.sk. The television premiere of the film will be on RTVS - Dvojka - 25.3.2018 (Sunday) at 10:20. Description from the RTVS website: Natural history documentary about the rescue of the red-footed falcon. In the time-lapse documentary, we will see unique images of rare red-footed falcons, filmed with a high-speed camera so that the human eye can slowly and in detail enjoy their admirable aerial skills, thanks to which they can catch even flying insects. Due to insensitive human activity, these beautiful falcons gradually disappeared from our territory, until in 2012 not a single pair nested in Slovakia. The documentary openly and directly reveals the main causes of this unfavorable situation, due to which other rare animal species are simultaneously disappearing from our country, such as bustards, croakers, partridges, quails and many other small songbirds. At the same time, it captures the enormous efforts of our conservationists to stop this negative trend and bring falcons back to our country.
