Farmers who want to provide services to other farmers can apply for assistance under the operation "Development of entrepreneurship - development of agricultural services" implemented from the funds of the Rural Development Program for 2014-2020. Applicants can count on an amount of up to PLN 500,000, but no more than 50 percent of the net costs of their investment. These are funds to cover the costs of purchase or leasing, including new agricultural machinery and equipment. The money received can also be used to purchase, for example, computer equipment for managing the enterprise. The machine leasing service is very popular and is a solution to the problem of farmers who cannot afford to invest in machinery, often used on the farm only once a year. That is why more and more companies providing various services to residents of rural areas, including leasing, are being established in the countryside. This program is a chance for modern equipment, modern services, precision farming to reach those farmers who cannot afford to buy expensive equipment on their own - notes the Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development - Ryszard Kamiński. As part of the operation "Development of entrepreneurship - development of agricultural services", farmers can purchase agricultural machinery only in connection with their business activity, providing income. Obtaining funding obliges the applicant to submit a business plan for the development of the business activity, assuming conducting profitable activity in the field of agricultural services.
