As the Euro 9000 seemed to spend more time in the workshop (or still does) than it was running, a replacement was needed. Originally, a EuroDual (BR 159) was planned, but as none was available, a class 233 locomotive was used instead, much to my delight! Unfortunately, the trip was not under the best of stars, as you will see in one of the following parts - but it definitely wasn't the locomotive's fault!
