Antero Laukkanen, who passed away last week, was a great friend of Israel, whose voice was heard both in Parliament and in other forums, and according to the obituary in Helsingin Sanomat, he was caught in a political crossfire because of his sympathies for Israel stemming from his Christian convictions. Antero Laukkanen was a close friend of Risto Huvila for decades, and together they founded the Espoo Finland-Israel Association and the Parliamentary Anti-Antisemitism Group. In the program, Risto Huvila remembers his friend and presents excerpts from speeches given by Antero Laukkanen at Israel events.
