How have mobilization narratives and strategies of Islamist groups changed? What developments has Islamism prevention undergone in recent years? How well are we positioned to meet these challenges? We will discuss these questions at the closing event of KN:IX with Dr. Jochen Müller, Thomas Mücke and Jamuna Oehlmann. We will also take a look into the future: Which technological, social and political developments will shape prevention work in the coming years? And how can prevention approaches be further professionalized and consolidated in order to remain effective in the future? The threat posed by Islamist extremism remains acute, while the social framework and the Islamist scene are changing. New digital spaces and social polarizations require flexibility and adaptability from prevention work and politics. By expanding networks, developing innovative approaches and promoting cooperation between civil society actors, regulatory structures and (security) authorities, important progress has been made in prevention work in recent years. In view of increasing social complexity, the question of the long-term anchoring of preventive approaches is becoming ever more pressing. 00:00 Intro 00:05 Welcome 01:41 Greetings from Lisa Paus, Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth 03:44 Content impulse from Lamya Kaddor (Member of Parliament for Alliance 90/The Greens, member of the KN:IX advisory board) 07:58 Discussion on developments in the Islamist scene 34:43 Content impulse from Prof. Peter R.
