◆ A Confusing but Happy Childhood Oh Young-cheol, 42 years old this year, is a mixed-race black man born to a black father who served in the US military in Korea and a Korean mother. Unlike most mixed-race people, Young-cheol has happy memories of his childhood with his parents. However, after his parents passed away at the age of 16, he too had to endure the cold treatment and discrimination that mixed-race people have to face in this country. ◆ Father... and music When he was young and had a happy family, he started music, which he learned from his father while learning piano. It became the mainstay of Young-cheol's life. He formed a group called 'BLUE NOTE' and became famous as an organist at a nightclub. However, he was kicked out of the club due to his age and health issues and became unemployed. ◆ A sick body. And a lonely fight against illness Four months ago, he suddenly started to experience pain in his throat, making it difficult for him to speak properly and even swallow food. However, due to financial difficulties, he is unable to visit a hospital and is fighting his illness alone without a family to take care of him. Without even a small room to lie down in, a corner of the small office sofa is his only refuge. ◆ A name that comes to mind more because he is lonely... Family He was once the head of an ordinary family with a Korean wife and an only daughter. However, his happiness was short-lived, and his wife ran away, breaking the happiness of that family, leaving Yeong-cheol alone again. Now, his only hope in life is his daughter! He desperately wants to see her, but it is not easy to meet his daughter who was left with her maternal grandparents. ◆ Is there any hope left for him?
