In 2001, in southeastern Iran, the change in the course of the Halil Roud River revealed traces of a previously unknown civilization on the Iranian plateau. This discovery could challenge the commonly held idea that civilizations originated in a single center located in Mesopotamia. Professor Madjidzadeh, an internationally renowned Iranian archaeologist, was appointed to inventory the objects and lead the excavations. He is convinced that he is facing the remains of the mythical kingdom of Aratta, mentioned in four Sumerian legends. This film retraces the first chapters of a discovery that was decisive for the history of humanity. Directed by Olivier Julien
