A gene is a basic unit of heredity. In addition to genes, we also define the chromosome, as being non-sexual (or autosomal) or sexual (allosomic). Within our chromosome, we have the gene locus, the place on the chromosome where a gene is located. We are used to treating the alleles of our genes as dominant allele (capital letter, normally represented) and recessive allele (lowercase letter, normally represented). #ProfGui #Module2 #Lesson1
