How to choose a compressor? The third lesson of our airbrushing course! In the previous lesson, Olya told about airbrushes, today we are publishing information about compressors. Detailed information about materials and paints will be in the following lessons. The most preferable configuration: 1. Iwata Eclipse HP-CS airbrush. 2. Jas 1206 compressor. Analogue - TNT Air as 196 compressor. The simplest basic set: 1. TNT Air BD-183K airbrush. It has replaceable tanks of 2 ml, 5 ml, 13 ml and replaceable conical nozzles (which are harder to break) set 0.3 mm; 0.5 mm 0.8 mm. This airbrush has good characteristics. This is the most budget option that we can recommend. Of the minuses - replaceable parts and assembly in Taiwan. 2. JAS 1228 / Jas 1203 compressor - an average power option. If you do not plan to paint very large areas and work for a long time without breaks, are ready to take breaks in painting to let the compressor cool down, then you can choose this compressor. Other airbrush options: 1. Iwata Revolution HP-BR airbrush. Pros - high quality, cons - a very small paint tank, a threaded nozzle. 2. NEO CN for Iwata airbrush. Manufactured in China from Taiwanese components by order and under the control of the Japanese company Anest Iwata. The product is superior in quality to the products of such Chinese brands as Jas and Fengda. NEO CN belongs to the mid-level tools. 3. Aero-Pro 103 airbrush. Taiwanese quality (slightly better than China), 0.3 mm nozzle, 7 ml tank. Minus - threaded nozzle. Our partner, the professional painting equipment store Artcompas, gives our students a 5% discount on any purchases with the promo code "lana". We recommend that you immediately take quality equipment for comfortable work. But if you already have an airbrush and compressor, and you can handle their maintenance, they will be suitable for completing the course.
