Varol Sakallı, who works as an anesthesia technician at Kocaeli University Training and Research Hospital, has been a bipolar patient for 12 years. Sharing his experiences on many issues from his diagnosis to the treatment process and living with this illness, Sakallı is married and has two children. Stating that accepting the illness is very important and that a person knows himself better than anyone else, Sakallı said that for this reason, people should seek treatment immediately if they see symptoms. Emphasizing the importance of socialization in people diagnosed with bipolar disorder, Sakallı stated that getting out of the house and involved in life was good for him. _______ Kocaeli University, which was founded in 1992 with 6 faculties, 1 vocational school, and 3 institutes, is one of the leading science and education centers in our country with 19 faculties, 3 colleges, 16 vocational schools, 4 institutes, 1 state conservatory, 13 research centers and 28 research units as of 2022.
