The Noite welcomes the Secretary of Public Security for the State of São Paulo and federal deputy on leave, Guilherme Derrite. In conversation with Danilo Gentili, he talks about public opinion: “people are led to believe that the problem of public security is the fault of the police, of the police officers. There is a weakness in the entire criminal justice system. Including legislation, which is largely responsible for changing the law... It is the issue of the judiciary, the Public Prosecutor's Office, which, whether they like it or not, are tied up in working with those laws that are established and drafted by the National Congress. There is the prison system that few people talk about, but which has the duty to neutralize the individual who is put there.
