In addition to turning on the light when you open the door, you also have the option of pressing a button so that the light is turned on at any time, even when the door is closed. To have at least these 2 functionalities, the interior light needs a specific electrical installation. There are at least 3 wires: 1 direct positive, 1 direct negative and 1 negative that comes from the door switch. The interior light has a 3-position button, one to turn the light on when the door is opened, another to turn the light on even with the door closed, and another to turn the light off completely. When the door is open, this button puts wire 30 and the door switch wire in contact with the bulb to turn the light on only when the door is opened. When the key is in the always on position, then it puts wire 30 and the negative wire directly in contact with the bulb so that it turns on directly. And when the key is in the off position, then it cuts off contact with the two negative wires and the bulb does not turn on at any time. There is also the possibility of improving the functioning of the interior light a little by automating it when it is turned off, leaving it on for a little longer and also making the light turn on before the door is even opened, as soon as the alarm is set off.
