????????Follow me on Instagram: / mauriciofisica *********************************************** When two waves overlap in space, we have the phenomenon called interference, which can be constructive or destructive. In constructive interference, there is an encounter between two valleys or two crests, and this causes the wave to have a greater resulting amplitude. In destructive interference, a valley meets a crest and the result is that the amplitude of the resulting wave is smaller than at least one of the amplitudes of the overlapping waves. Since the intensity of the sound depends on the amplitude of the wave, in cases where there is destructive interference the sound will be weaker, almost inaudible. In this video I show how to perform a sound interference experiment, using the Audacity software. #SoundInterference #WaveExperiment #Waves
