The group is led by the founder and pastor Ana Paula Valadão Bessa - composer of most of the recorded songs. Since its creation, Diante do Trono has the mission of "experiencing and encouraging the worship of God in the nations of the world, influencing society and the new generation of worshipers with excellence, holiness and love". Diante do Trono has released a series of 19 CDs and DVDs, as well as the Children Diante do Trono series, with 11 CDs and 9 DVDs. The band was nominated for a “Latin Grammy” in the category “Best Christian Album in Portuguese” in 2012, for the album “Sol da Justiça”, recorded live in Natal/RN. Furthermore, according to the Billboard Brasil Gospel ranking, Diante do Trono had three songs among the most played in Brazil in 2013: “Creio”, “Canta Minh'alma” and “Me Ama”. Several of the group's songs have left their mark on the Brazilian church and the history of gospel music, including: “Canção do Apocalipse”, “Nos Braços do Pai”, “Preciso de Ti”, “Águas Purificadoras”, “Te Agradeço” and others.
