We insulated a wall with sprayable foam, closed it with plates and filled the joints without tape. And we tested the adhesion of the foam on polyurethane and polystyrene insulators. http://www.bricocrack.tv. DIY Tutorial Construction Insulation Sprayable foam Adhesive foam Joints without tape. The sprayable foam, the adhesive foam and the joint paste without tape that we use in the video are from Penosil (Wolf Group Ibérico). The protective gloves we use in the video are from Tomás Bodero https://tomasbodero.com/es/. There are always questions on our Channel about walls in poor condition and wall insulation. For this reason, we try to be up to date on these issues and we are researching possible solutions. In this tutorial we have combined three products that we usually use to see if with them we can make the insulation of the walls that concerns us so much easier and faster. Juan starts by working on a wall where we have glued some wooden battens with EasyPega adhesive foam. We have previously protected the battens with masking tape and, between them, we are going to apply the EasySpray sprayable foam from Penosil. First, we moisten the support, don't forget ???? It's important to keep a constant rhythm and not to thicken the surface with layers. Look at how Juan does it. We remove the masking tape before the sprayable foam cures. The next step is to close it with laminated plasterboard, wood, wainscoting, etc. We do it with boards and, to stick them together, we're going to use the EasyPega adhesive foam from Penosil (Wolf Group Ibérico). We moisten the battens beforehand to improve the adhesion of the foam and we apply it making homogeneous beads. Then we have to wait two minutes for the adhesive to act and be able to place the boards. We use the level and press the boards evenly to stick them in place. We leave a 3-millimeter joint between the boards and you'll see why later. Juan continues testing. He is going to show you how to apply the foam to both the insulation and the boards and it is important that you learn to leave open spaces between the cords, so that the air can circulate and allow the adhesive to act. We have chosen two insulators (agglomerated polyurethane and extruded polystyrene) which are the most common when using this technique of glued panels to insulate walls. We fix them to the wall and, after about seven minutes, we stick the boards on top with adhesive foam. This procedure, as Juan tells you in the tutorial, although it is done a lot, is not mandatory. In the professional world, laminated plasterboards are used that already have the insulation adhered to the back side. And, to finish with the insulation, we have to fill the joints between the plasterboards. And this time we are going to use a product that is new for us. It is the Junta Placa joint paste from Penosil (Wolf Group Ibérico) that fills the joints without the need to use tape. That is why we have left a three-millimeter joint between the boards because it is necessary to facilitate anchoring. Junta Placa is a very light, ready-to-use joint paste that works very well. It is important to fill the joint well and then just smooth it out with the grouting spatula. As you can see in the video, it can also be used to cover screw heads and small surface imperfections on the board. It dries in 2 to 4 hours, depending on temperature and environmental conditions. It does not need tape, so with just one application you can obtain a finish level equivalent to Q2. That's all the tests we've done to show you different possibilities. We hope you find them very useful! Tell us, as always, in the comments on the video, down here. Thank you very much in advance! ???? #IsolateWallProjectableFoam #JointPlatesWithoutTape #UseAdhesiveFoam More information about DIY, Construction and Insulation at http://www.bricocrack.tv/ Presented by Juan Mateos.
