Up until now I've only had normal 12 volt sockets in the car and whenever I wanted to operate or charge something via USB, I used a USB plug. Even if that worked, it wasn't ideal. When there's vibration, these plugs tend to come loose and suddenly you realise that the device plugged in there wasn't actually charged. So this time I'm using USB sockets and the problem is solved. In this video, 2 of them are installed in such a way that there is a shelf nearby so that whatever is in them can be put down nearby. Of course, there is also a fuse box in between to protect the individual devices.
