Buy TARPONN products ???????? https://lista.mercadolivre.com.br/loj... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few days ago I unboxed the Tarponn TS-1000 slim speaker, tested it on the bench and also gave my first impressions about this speaker, which were good by the way. In that same video I asked if anyone would be interested in seeing it being installed in the car and many comments were positive from people who would like to see the speaker being installed in my Doblô. So I decided to answer the requests, and also because I like bass inside my car lol. The place I chose was exactly the place the speaker was designed to be used, below the seat. Although the Fiat Doblô is extremely spacious there below the seat, it doesn't have much space in terms of width, only in height. The speaker fit exactly as if it were designed for this car and hence the advantage of using a speaker with a reduced size like this one from Tarponn, which is the smallest on the market and still has good performance. I started the installation by running the positive wire from the battery to the box. The manual calls for a wire that is 8 mm thick, but I opted for a 10 mm wire because in this case I think it is better to err on the side of more. I was careful to buy a pure copper wire that has better energy conductivity. I didn't have much of a problem running this positive cable because the Fiat Doblô has a hole with an insulating rubber in the firewall where some wires were already running, so I decided to run it through there. I ran the red wire behind the fuse box and took it to under the bench where the box is. 20 centimeters after the connection to the battery terminal, I placed one of those 220V circuit breaker switches to serve as an on and off switch. This one does not serve as a protection fuse. Right there near the box, I identified a spot on the bodywork, drilled a hole and placed a screw with a self-locking nut to secure an eyelet terminal that I placed on the end of another 10 mm wire, this time black, to make the box's negative. The RCA cable gave me more work because the position where the radio is located in the Fiat Doblô is well above the dashboard and difficult to access for new wires, so I had to disassemble several pieces of the dashboard until I got there with the wires, but between dead and wounded 2 hours later I managed it lol. Along with the RCA cable I also ran a 1mm wire to use between the radio's remote wire and the amplifier's remote input. With the wiring in place I then started the connection to the box, which wasn't very difficult because everything is very well identified on the box's casing. I turned on the radio and did the first operating test just to validate the wiring and connections. I also tested the bass level adjustment potentiometer that comes with the box and everything worked very well. I set the box's gain to maximum, the bass boost to medium and the LPF to 150hz. I attached the box to the car floor using one of the brackets that comes with the box and went to the fine adjustments there on the radio. The radio didn't need many adjustments, except for the configuration of the subwoofer output, because I connected the box to the RCA corresponding to the subwoofer output and activated the HPF at 100Hz to remove the bass from the original speakers and thus they give a cleaner sound. The final result was satisfactory, because the reduced size of the box and the ease of installation provide a balanced bass with the internal speakers and a better experience in the car's internal sound.
